It’s National “Fruits and Veggies Matter” Month.
Fruits and veggies matter? Somebody in an office somewhere came up with this. I’m sure taxpayers pay that person.
Whoever came up with giving themes to certain months needs to be slapped. I can’t keep track anymore of all the things I’m supposed to be “aware” of in any given month. There’s just too many.
Also, how many keys to the city are there? Mayors pass them out like they’re candy. Additionally, why do professional sports players deserve a key to a city? Because they can run fast or hit hard, they should be honored with a civic award? Where are our priorities when we’ll come out in thousands to celebrate a sports championship and then skip voting in elections?
Wow that was a ramble.

i personally love fruits and veggies, and think it’s about time they get the recognition they deserve!
in honor of this special month we will be eating bagged lettuce as a side with every dinner we eat at home, oh wait… we already do that.
