Why do married men so often talk about marriage as if they didn’t have any choice in the matter? Thankfully, here in America we don’t have arranged marriages. So unless a gun-wielding man forced them into buying a ring, they had a choice. Yet, they talk like it’s such an imposition to be married. To have a wife and kids, they say, cramps their style.
Making a decision and then complaining about the consequences shows nothing but a refusal to accept responsibility. It’s much easier to complain than to man-up and be the man you promised you would be.
I’m sure that men who think this way never think about the fact that maybe, just maybe, their failure to accept true responsibility is actually more of an imposition on their wife and kids.

I completely agree! Luckily I got a MAN when I married and he’s stepped up in every way. But, like I said, I was lucky. I chose well. I would hope he feels the same!
