This weekend, Annalee and her mom hosted yet another tea party.
Everyone loves these Luttrell tea parties. In Abilene, Annalee and Sherri have made a name for themselves as being organizers of top quality tea parties.
Before I met Annalee, I didn’t realize that grown people actually had tea parties, let alone call them that. However, it appears that it happens and in the Luttrell family, it happens often. In fact, pre-Annalee I envisioned tea parties consisting of small plastic tea pots and cups with several stuffed animals as the guests. Apparently, I was wrong. Grown women come to these tea parties and they thoroughly enjoy them.
I must say that tea party food is dang good. I really enjoy it. I’m definitely not afraid to eat dainty foods. However, while the tea party women might take three bites out of a little quarter of a sandwich or scone, I’m a one-biter. That might disqualify me from being a true tea partier but I could live with that. I’ve come a long way but I still like to take big drinks, not sip. I like to fill my mouth with food so that when I’m done chewing the whole bite isn’t stuck in my teeth and I actually have something to swallow. Oh well, I do what I can.
Tea Parties….they’re real, and real cool.
